Giorgio Fazio flips Hudson Mohawke’s FUSE into a jungle transmission for off-grid dancefloors
Creative director and electronic music producer Giorgio Fazio delivers a personal interpretation of FUSE, one of the most disruptive tracks from Hudson Mohawke’s 2009 Butter on Warp. FUSE (Jungle Flip) channels the intensity, emotional charge and fractured rhythm of the original into a version rooted in jungle, ambient garage textures and low‐end weight.

As featured in:
- Magnetic Magazine — described the track as a bold reimagination of Hudson Mohawke’s cult classic, injected with sharp jungle energy and experimental flair.
- Earmilk — called it a raw and visceral tribute, filled with jittery rhythms and emotional tension.
- Illustrate Magazine — praised Fazio’s ability to warp “FUSE” into a fresh jungle rework while retaining chaos and charm.
- Plastic Magazine — called the release a sensational reinterpretation, showcasing Fazio’s unique edge and sonic direction.

The track opens with fragmented grooves and granular layers. Amen breaks rise and fall over filtered pads and pitch‐warped vocal stabs. Low‐end pressure holds it together while instability propels it forward. It’s designed for low‐ceiling rooms, open fields and sound systems that respond to tension more than drop.
“If you were producing during the early SoundCloud era, you felt the impact of Hudson Mohawke in real time. Before the rise of trap kits and playlists, there was a window where tracks like FUSE shifted how we approached swing, emotion, distortion and structure. That sound hit hard and rewired how we worked inside a DAW. For a lot of us, it wasn’t just influence. It was the beginning of something. Revisiting FUSE now means returning to that moment where sound felt unpredictable and full of intent.”
Giorgio Fazio
With FUSE (Jungle Flip), Giorgio Fazio pays tribute to one of the most influential tracks of the last two decades. The original carried a kind of tension that didn’t follow any formula. That feeling was the starting point. The decision to approach it through jungle comes from a long relationship with the UK scene and the influence of artists like ASC, where rhythm, space and restraint drive the sound.
The track is a personal response to something that still resonates. Not a stylistic exercise, but a way of engaging with the energy and ideas that shaped a generation of producers.
FUSE (Jungle Flip) is now available on all major streaming platforms.
About Giorgio Fazio

Giorgio Fazio is a Creative Director with a deep-rooted passion for sound. Over the years, he has shaped images and sonic identities for brands and commercial projects, merging storytelling with sound design. But beyond the briefs and structured concepts, music has always been the purest form of creative expression.
With this project, he’s going back to the roots, exploring, experimenting, and having fun in the studio. Influenced by electronic music, footwork, drum and bass, and Jersey club, his tracks are raw, rhythmic explorations where distorted basslines, fractured grooves, and cinematic tension collide. Bringing his Creative Director mindset into production, Giorgio approaches music like he does design: breaking patterns, rebuilding structures, and crafting immersive sonic experiences that move both the body and the mind.
