Following the emotional depth of No One Should Ever Die and the hypnotic pulse of It Felt Like Fire, Giorgio Fazio returns with Unpicked Calls, his most intimate and cinematic track to date. A delicate balance of glitchy textures and whispered melancholy, Unpicked Calls floats between minimal club tension and dreamlike ambience. The track features the haunting voice of Anna Zeh, whose ethereal delivery drifts like a voicemail left too late.
Studio Notes:
Recorded between late winter and early spring 2025 using field recordings, analog delay loops, and resampled vocal takes from Anna Zeh. The track blends glitch, ambient and post-club sensibilities into a raw and emotional structure, intentionally unpolished, like a voicemail you’re not supposed to hear twice.
The vocal was originally a longer improvisation. Only fragments remain, stretched and isolated. They are not meant to convey words, but the hesitation between them. That tension became the center of the mix. Every click and reverb tail is meant to feel accidental, like something you stumbled upon in someone else’s memory.
Rather than building toward a drop, the track dissolves. It fades into a texture that feels closer to silence than sound, but still carries weight. This was always the point. To leave the listener with more questions than answers.

About Giorgio Fazio
Giorgio Fazio is a Creative Director with a deep-rooted passion for sound. Over the years, he has shaped images and sonic identities for brands and commercial projects, merging storytelling with sound design. But beyond the briefs and structured concepts, music has always been the purest form of creative expression.
With this project, he’s going back to the roots, exploring, experimenting, and having fun in the studio. Influenced by electronic music, footwork, drum and bass, and Jersey club, his tracks are raw, rhythmic explorations where distorted basslines, fractured grooves, and cinematic tension collide.
