Nothing But Simulation (EP)

Giorgio Fazio turns the simulation hypothesis into sound and a living, generative web experience.

Creative Director and electronic music producer Giorgio Fazio releases Nothing but Simulation, a 2-track EP with a companion generative site that “simulates the simulation.” Premiered on NTS Radio in Foodman’s show, the project merges unstable rhythms, suspended atmospheres, and a browser-based system that renders infinite video portraits in real time.

As featured in:
  • Obscure Sound — “atmospheric, inventive prowess” and a detailed feature on the EP’s concept and sound.
  • Mystic Sons (7/10) — called it “a conceptual EP and generative digital experiment that treats music as an unstable system in motion.”
  • EARMILK — praised how it “turns philosophical tension into sound… glitchy textures and cinematic unease coexist.”
  • Cheers to the Vikings — “only two tracks, but it feels like a full journey — glitchy sound design with real narrative pull.”
  • NTS Radio (Foodman) — premiere of the title track in Foodman’s show, featuring “Nothing but Simulation.”

The EP explores a core question: if we already live in a simulation, what happens when we create another inside it? The title track is raw and rhythmically unstable, a system in flux; “But Something Feels Real” moves like a program that never fully loads, suspending time and memory. The concept extends to nothingbutsimulation.com, a generative site that launches randomized sequences of simulated video portraits trained on Fazio’s likeness, making each visit unique.

“Starting his mix with ‘Nothing but Simulation’ set a tone that felt both unsettling and captivating.”

About Giorgio Fazio

Portrait of Giorgio Fazio - 2025

Giorgio Fazio is a Creative Director with a deep-rooted passion for sound. Over the years, he has shaped images and sonic identities for brands and commercial projects, merging storytelling with sound design. But beyond the briefs and structured concepts, music has always been the purest form of creative expression.

With this project, he’s going back to the roots, exploring, experimenting, and having fun in the studio. Influenced by electronic music, footwork, drum and bass, his tracks are raw, rhythmic explorations where distorted basslines, fractured grooves, and cinematic tension collide. Bringing his Creative Director mindset into production, Giorgio approaches music like he does design: breaking patterns, rebuilding structures, and crafting immersive sonic experiences that move both the body and the mind.
